G-d is open to us like no other time in the year. Are you making the most of it? Are you finding time in the quiet of the night to whisper to G-d? How to Improve the Drawing Skills of ChildrenOne of the prizes I offer my students is that I will draw them anything they want when they win our Spin-to-Win raffle. The main reason that I offer this as a prize is that I want some extra practice drawing random things that I might not have thought of on my own. Today the 5th grade boys asked for bunnies. So often, I hear children say, "I can't draw. I'm not an artist." I tell them, "The only people who are not artists are the people who stop making art." Give your children random art assignments and try to come up with some real purpose for each one. This is one way to keep the artist alive in your child or students. |
It's Time to Fall in Love AgainThe Holy Sparks "Return to G-d," Soul Journey - Soul Adventure #10: What is the point of Teshuva (returning to G-d)? It's about our love relationship with the Master of the Universe, clearing away the barriers that separate us from intimacy with the Creator of our souls. The letters of the world Elul remind us of this - Time to fall in love again - with G-d! In today's Soul Adventure, when you work on that change you're trying to make, focus on the love you feel for G-d, just as you would when you choose a gift with care for the one you love. Please share this Soul Journey with your friends and family who want to prepare for the new year. |
